Ooidonk Art Festival - nature in flux

In 2025, the festival continued to grow in ambition and scale with the edition Ooidonk Art Festival 2025 – Nature in Flux. Building on the success of previous years, this edition explored the relationship between art, nature and time through the central theme Nature, with sub-themes 'The Continuous Evolution of Nature', 'The Transience of Nature', and 'The Impact of Humans on Nature'. Reflecting these ideas, the exhibition itself was conceived as a living environment in constant transformation, where the landscape, installations and artworks evolved throughout the duration of the festival.
The 2025 edition ran from May 17 to August 31, 2025, welcoming 10,241 visitors and presenting works by over 40 contemporary artists. Large-scale installations, site-specific works and conceptual interventions created a dialogue between contemporary art and the historic surroundings of Ooidonk. In parallel with the outdoor exhibition, a complementary presentation was held at Francis Maere Fine Arts Gallery in Ghent, featuring works by the same participating artists adapted to a gallery context.
Alongside the artistic program, the festival further expanded the visitor experience with nocturnes, guided tours, special openings and B2B events, combining art, gastronomy and the unique atmosphere of the Ooidonk estate.
