In listening to things, I meet the silence within myself. Intensely seeing, hearing, smelling and feeling all that is going on around me. An uncontrollable deep-seated urge to create bubbles up from a natural source of creativity. Puncturing, painting and cutting up paper is done with a childlike spontaneity. My hands are directed from my core. Layer after layer, my truth emerges. It is uncovering, reassembling and rearranging something no one knew about. It is liberating and necessary to exist. Pure and fragile, an expression of my real being. It is an attempt to meet the original and capture the wonder in an image. (Rosita Jeronimo)
